國際博物館協會(ICOM)與國際文化紀念物與歷史場所委員會(ICOMOS)於2020年1月6日，發布聯合聲明：
「呼籲所有各方遵守《 關於武裝衝突情況下保護文化財產的海牙公約 》，並無論宗教信仰或政治傾向為何，都應保護世界文化遺產。 」
